Betty B. Granato, 95 of Weirton died Tuesday December 11, 2001 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on August 31, 1906 in Kingwood, WV the daughter of the late Stanley and Kathleen BolivichThorn She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Granato on March 23, 1977. Her sister Stella Halko and her brothers Felix, Adam, Joseph, Lee, Francis and Walter Thorn, also preceded her in death. Betty was a retired owner of the North Weirton Bus Terminal and worked as a waitress at the People’s Restaurant. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Surviving include her son Donald C. Granato and his wife Wanda; her daughter Betty Cuprik and her husband Joe all of Weirton; her two brothers Charlie and Phillip Thorn of Howsville, WV, her three sisters Eleanor Musick of Carmichael, PA Nancy Mealedy of Baltimore, MD, Jeanette Broizk of Bobtown, PA Her grandson, Donald Granato and his wife Kathy and their children Don, Rosalie and Gina Granato,of Weirton survive. Her grandson David Cuprik and his wife Debbie of Weirton also survive. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church Weirton, WV. Entombment will follow in Saint Paul Mausoleum.
