Betty Mae Cartwright, 83, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born April 28, 1929 in Pennsboro, WV, she was a daughter of the late Walzie Jones and Lucy Ball Sandy. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Homer Sandy, brother Rusty Jones, sister Velma Hearn and half-brother Bill Sandy.
Mrs. Cartwright worked as a collator for Braceland Brothers in Steubenville, OH.
Betty is survived by her brother Jim Sandy; sister Connie Sue Sandy both of Weirton; a nephew John "Butch" Jones of Ft. Pearce, FL and four nieces.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
