Bruce Russell Way, 70 years of age, died peacefully at his home in Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 16, 2016. Born August 6, 1945, Bruce was the son of loving parents Russell H. Way, deceased 1974, and Ruby M. Carnahan Way, deceased 1984. Bruce has no know survivors. Bruce grew up in Weirton, West Virginia, and attended Cove School and Weir High School, where he displayed exceptional musical talent, especially at his drums, during his four years in the Weir High School Varsity Band. Following high school graduation, Bruce enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 9, 1963, finding his place as a percussionist in the Second Army Band at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Bruce leaves behind many loving high school classmates, especially those in the Class of 1963, and fellow band members from the Weir High School Varsity Band, 144 strong.
