Chantel Lynn Mayhew, 41, of Weirton, passed away suddenly of cancer, Monday, April 4, 2016 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born April 12, 1974 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of Leonard Cassella and the late Mindy McWhorter Cassella. Chantel worked as a medical secretary and loved riding Harleys in the local poker runs, fishing and camping with her family and friends. Chantel is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Mayhew; father Leonard (Mary) Cassella; son Damon Mayhew; daughter Marijane Mayhew all of Weirton; brother Israel Cassella of Weirton; half-brother Michael Miller of PA; sister Crystal (Jerry) Cassella-Hosemann of Houston, TX and her in-laws Bob and Donna Mayhew and their family. She also leaves her beloved dog, Ozzy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of Funeral Services at 12 PM, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. The Reverend Dr. Ed Rudiger will officiate. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of her family. With heavy hearts & questions with no answers………Chantel was NOT just a wife, a mother, & a GREAT friend, but a ROCK for ALL of us that knew her…..her laughter & her presence always lit up a room……the memories from SHOOTERZ, CAMPING @ HOPEDALE, POKER RUNS, & PARTIES will forever be etched n my mind…..for once I’m @ loss for words, but my deepest of condolences for BOBBY, MJ, & DAMON…….to fear the storm is a given, but learning to dance in the rain is a choice……🙏🙏💔💔
