Charlotte E. Gabler, 67, of Paris, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born March 1, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Frank and Elizabeth Georgia Dresel Thermes. Charlotte was an active member of the Paris Presbyterian Church, having served as the Financial Manager, Elder and Treasurer. She was the Treasurer for the Borough of Burgettstown, was past president of the Women's Creditors Association, a board member of the Hanover Park Board who founded Hanover Park and was a member of several area card clubs. She was a cherished friend to everybody, always volunteering a helping hand and always welcoming friends and family to her home. Charlotte lived a caring and active life that was always full of love and laughter. She enjoyed music and theater. As long as Charlotte was around, no one was without a friend, a warm smile and a kind word. Charlotte is survived by her loving daughters Christine Elek and her husband Stephen of Bethel Park, PA, Linda Gabler and her husband Doug Purcell of Ramsey, NJ, Jane Bodo and her husband David of Steubenville and Tammy Cain of Weirton; brother Frank Thermes; sister Ursula Thermes both of Homestead, FL; three grandchildren Elizabeth and Elena Elek and Gabrielle Bodo; nephews Lucien and Marcus Thermes of Homestead, FL and niece Angelique Martin of Los Angeles, CA. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 1:30 PM Saturday with Reverend Christina Hosler presiding. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.   21. We feel so blessed that Aunt Charlotte was able to come see us in February. Frank’s face lit up when he saw Aunt Charlotte. It meant the world to him. She was such a breath of fresh air.
