Cheryl Louise Snyder, 59, of Oakdale, PA, formerly of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born March 2, 1956 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of Pauline Paprocki Snyder and the late Andrew Snyder. After graduating from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in nursing, Cheryl worked at Allegheny General Hospital. She enjoyed riding her bike, having participated in the MS-150 Century Ride in Salisbury, MD. She also enjoyed reading a good book and spending time at the ocean. In addition to her mother, Cheryl is survived by her daughter Maya Snyder at home, brothers Andrew Snyder of Wheeling, WV and Gregory Snyder of Weirton and several uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston presiding.
