clara kostakos
Clara A. Kostakos, 90, of Weirton, WV, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the D & D Quality Care in Weirton. Born February 14, 1916 in Crete, Greece, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria Stavroulakis Kladakis. Clara was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, John Angelos in 1961; her second husband John Kostakos in 2000; daughters Patricia Gole and Mary Mattes; brothers Ted, Steve, Michael and Gus Kladakis and sisters Domina Kladakis, Kathryn Psaros and Helen Verdis. Clara was a homemaker, a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church where she served as Cantor and in the All Saints Choir. Clara’s survivors include sister Anna Demas of Tampa, FL, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM until the 11AM funeral services at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church with Reverend Father Frank A. Milanese officiating.
