Clara Moore

Clara Moore, 94, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born July 22, 1925 in Weirton, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Paraskevo Liapis Gramatikos. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Moore. Clara was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. During World War II, Clara was part of the “Rosie the Riveter” campaign. She was also well known throughout the community for doing wedding favors, bouquets and table decorations. She is survived by her daughters Janet Ream and Rae Zatezalo; brother Michael Gramatikos all of Weirton; sister Anne Sakellaris of Alexandria, VA; grandsons Brad Ream, Bryan Ream and Tom Zatezalo; great-grandchildren Bailey, Michael and Jared Ream and nieces Paula Weinberg and Michelle Lewis. Friends will be received Friday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. The Reverend Father Frank Milanese will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Weirton Geriatric and Valley Hospice for the wonderful care given to Clara.
