Cleopatra Sotraidis Liedtke, 91, of North Versailles, PA, formerly of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Born March 25, 1919 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Nick Sotraidis and Arhondia Gregoriou Sotraidis. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Liedtke and brother Van Sotraidis. Mrs. Liedtke was a homemaker, a member of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in McKeesport; served as President of the St. Markella Philoptochos in McKeesport, PA, Board Member of the Metropolis Philoptochos Society of Pittsburgh and was a Parish Council member of Annunciation of the Theotokos in McKeesport. Cleo was a very independent woman with a kind heart who gave much of her time to organizations in the Orthodox faith. She pushed the boundaries of what females could do as early as the 1930's by hunting, winning marksmanship contests and, in recent years, receiving special blessings from Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh in her service to the church. Cleo was always up for a good laugh and having fun. She will be dearly missed by all the people whose lives she touched. Cleo is survived by her brother George Sotraidis of Weirton; sister Mary Sotraidis Ameredes of Munroe Falls, OH; niece Cindy Gable of Powell, OH; niece and God Daughter Patti Sotraidis of Destin, FL; nephews Tim Ameredes of Upper Arlington, OH, Bill Ameredes of League City, TX, Van Sotraidis of St. Louis, MO, Nick Sotraidis of Destin, FL, Steve Sotraidis of Phoenix, AZ and Tom Sotraidis of CA and God Daughter Penny Holt of Weirton. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30PM. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 until the 11AM funeral services at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. The Reverend Father Frank Milanese will officiate. Interment will be in the Greek Section of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. All friends are invited to the Makaria luncheon following Interment.
