cynthia riffee
Cynthia Ann Riffee of Weirton was called to be with the Lord on December 6, 2021. She was 60 years old. Cynthia was born on September 29, 1961, in Sewickley, PA, the second of five children born to Edward and Margaret Fabian Phillips. When she was five years old her parents divorced and she was raised by her stepfather, French Gower, and mother, Margaret. French’s career as a boilermaker resulted in relocating Cindy’s family numerous times for changing employment opportunities Cindy graduated from Brooke High School and furthered her education, becoming a licensed hairstylist. She also served her country in the United States Army. On August 18, 2001, she married David Scott Riffee, and she often said, “She would not know what to do without him.” A private person, Cindy soon was accepted into Dave’s loving family. Cindy kept an immaculate home, she learned to be a great cook, and just loved taking care of her husband. They loved going to Pittsburgh Pirate games and watching her Steelers on T.V., playing BINGO, and going out to eat with the Riffee family. A Christian, Cynthia read the Bible daily and recorded her daily devotions in her journal. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 688. Most of all, Cindy will be remembered as a good person with a kind heart that did not have a mean bone in her body. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Phillips, and her two brothers, Ron and Bobby Phillips. She will be missed by her husband, David Scott Riffee; her daughter, Jamie (Carmen) DiStefano; her parents, French and Margaret Fabian Gower; her sisters, Donna Phillips and Karen Newton; her grandson, her father and mother-in-law, James and Betty (Stone) Riffee; her sister-in-law, Natalie Riffee; and her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Molly. Cindy will be cremated without any traditional services. Share tributes at www.grecohertnick.com
