Daniel Griffith, 50, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at his home. Born July 26, 1957 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, he was the son of the late Helen Wilson Griffith. Daniel was also preceded in death by his grandson Seth Michael Blankenship, maternal grandmother Mary Wilson and aunt Olga Wilson. For 30 years, Daniel has been employed by Weirton Steel where he worked as a solution man in the Tin Mill Department. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the WSX 25-Year Club and the Weirton Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Every Christmas, he enjoyed playing Santa Claus for his grandchildren, family and friends. Daniel is survived by his wife Amy Fisher Griffith; son Anthony Griffith; daughters Alisha Blankenship and Jessica Griffith all of Weirton and grandchildren Landen Moore, Emma Wilken and Ethan Bailey. Friends will be received Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 1PM Monday. Pastor Mike Campbell will officiate.
