darrel coleman, sr.
Darrel Ralph Coleman, Sr., 52, of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was the husband of Laurella "Laurie" McFarland Coleman to whom he was married for 34 years. Born on October 11, 1960 in East Liverpool, Ohio he was a son of Ralph and Dorothy Smith Coleman of Chester, WV. Darrel was a self-employed carpenter, enjoyed playing the banjo, was a very active wood worker, recently built his own garage on his property which he was very proud of and was a member of Mercy Baptist Church, Weirton. In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by two sons Darrel R. Coleman, Jr. of New Cumberland and James Coleman (Nicole) of Weirton; a daughter Alicia Humpe (Jeff) of Toronto, OH; two grandsons Aiden Coleman and Ethan Humpe; a brother David Coleman and companion Shane Albaneso of Bentleyville, PA; three sisters Darletta Coleman and companion Tammy Hixenbaugh of Bentleyville, PA, Cindy Lynch (Joe) and Jill Conkle both of Chester, WV. Darrel is also survived by a brother-in-law Joe McFarland (Krisann) of Bel Air, MD; 5 nieces, 3 nephews and 3 great-nieces. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 12-2pm & 6 until the time of service at 8pm at the Greco- Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
