  1. To our beloved father, grandfather, friend and teacher. We will miss you so very much. We will never forgot all of the kindness, wisdom, compassion, generosity and love you gave to your family, friends, acquaintances and strangers these many years. You were the most decent human being we have ever met and will ever hope to meet. Love you forever, your kids and grandkids!

  3. My father-in-law, Dave: a kind and gentle person who always had time for everyone. The one person I would go to who could give me the answer to any baseball question I could dream up. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge. I will sorely miss our kitchen sessions . Ed

  9. Hi PopPop, I miss you. I know this is late but i just got the courage to write this. I wish you would come home. I need you here. You are the one who helped me ride a bike and the one who I could talk to. You’re special. I’ve got two big boxes in my heart. Both carrying yours and MomMom’s memories. They are completely full. I know we all miss you. We wish you couldve stayed. I know you were suffering PoPop,but I can’t live without you. I cry everytime i see your picture or even your name. I have decided to retire the word “PoPop” for you are far to special for anyone else to have it. Buddy is gone now. We had to put him to sleep in March. He had a tumor in his neck. I hope you have found him up there in Heaven. If you have tell him and MomMom I said hello. I got a hamster. I named him Toby. He does the same thing you used to do. sleep during the day. I’m just kidding PoPop. I really want you to come home. I wish you were only sleeping. I know you are sleeping but I don’t want it to be forever. I hope you get this letter. How are things in Heaven? Do they have Tvs so you can watch the Pirates? Ever since you left us the Pirates have sucked. and lost almost all their games. It seems like losing you effected the whole world. I know it effected MY whole world. I can’t wait to see you. I’ll be visting in quite a few years from now. I know its not that long to you because time goes by quick in Heaven but down here it’s forever. I love you, PoPop. I will love you forever and always.
