Deborah Lynn Buchanan passed away at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton after a brief illness on Thursday, October 21, 2021; she was 66 years old. She was born in Weirton, WV, on June 16, 1955, a daughter of the late Ralph and Hilda McVicker Pulver, Jr. Deborah was a 1973 graduate of Stanton Local HighSchool. She was always willing to lend a hand when needed; her actions were a direct result of the strong faith she nourished at the First Christian Church of Malvern, OH Deborah retired from the Wellsville City School System, where she held positions as a teacher’s aide and in the environmental services department. Deborah’s passion was to help and serve others. Her family said she was a very accommodating person, placing everyone above herself. She found joy in her crafts and the items she created through sewing. No item she made was too big or too small. She never backed down from a challenge; whether she was making clothes for an infant or an afghan for a king-size bed, she always completed the task. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Renee Reynolds, and sister-in-law Brenda Buchanan. Remembering Deborah fondly at home is her husband Greg Buchanan, sisters Christine (Timothy) Logan of Malvern, OH. Lauren Pulver of Carrolton, OH., her nephews, Patrick, Andrew Tanner, Tyler, Jaxon, Kenny, Jayden, her nieces Jill and Kathryn, and her mother-in-law, Carla Buchanan. Visitation will be 3:00- 6:00 PM Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday. Pastor Kenny Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute Deborah’s name to the First Christian Church of Malvern, 4046 Coral Road NW, Malvern, OH., 44644.
