Delores Jean Derby, 80, of Weirton died Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Weirton Medical Center.
Born on October 20, 1935 in Elkins, W.V., she was a daughter of the late Sabbina L. (Leary) Wilfong. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip S. Derby, brother Ralph Wilfong and sisters Dorothy, Goldie, Evelyn, Ivy and Izzy.
Delores was a member of the Church of Christ in Weirton. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Delores is survived by her son Phillip T. "Tommy" Derby of New Cumberland, daughters Phyllis (David) Harris of Weirton, Vickie (Daniel) Strapazzon, of New Cumberland, Elizabeth (Ronald) Drysdale of North Carolina, Brenda (Anthony) Babiak of Weirton and Michelle (Matthew) Campbell of Weirton; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM.
Reverend Tom Derby will officiate.
Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
