Delphine (Guglielmi) Volhl, 74 of Weirton passed away March 14, 2004 at the Golden Oaks Nursing Home in Follansbee, WV. She was born May 1, 1929, in Weirton, WV, the daughter of the late Amedeo and Pauline DeStefano Guglielmi. Her Husband Carlo Volhl also preceded her. Delphine was formerly employed for the FAO in Rome, of the United Nations. She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. She is survived by her son Carlo Volhl, a sister Bibian Fritch, and a nephew George Fritch and two great-nieces, Lisa Popish and Andrea Stead all of Weirton. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2004, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be Wednesday, at 10:30AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Weirton, WV. Entombment will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery Mausoleum.   6. I knew Delphine for about 5 years..I dated her son, Carlo. She told the best stories from her past and I loved to listen to her..She was a wonderful person and mother. I will miss her and wished I was able to have said goodbye to her.
