Dinah D. Gobert
June 22, 1918 ~ April 16, 2001
Dinah D. Gobert, 82, of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Weirton, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 16, 2001 in Tennessee. She was born June 22, 1918 in Slovan, PA, a daughter of the late Louis and Manda Gruber Povich. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy V. Gobert, Sr. on August 1, 1961, one brother Eli Povich, and a sister Mary Bohn.
Dinah retired from Weirton Steel with 21 years service as a Payroll Clerk. She was a member and former deacon of the Paris Presbyterian Church and a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by a son, Roy V. Gobert Jr., of Chattanooga, TN; a daughter, Mrs. George (Beverly) Grove of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Mrs. Guy (Sophie) Indovina of Steubenville, OH; and two granddaughters, Tasha Gobert Theiler of Lawrenceville, NJ and Jill Gobert of Atlanta, GA. Dinah will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Kirk A. Erwin officiating.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paris Presbyterian Church, 127 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
