dolores grossi
Dolores Grossi, 79, of Weirton, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born April 27, 1930 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Audrey Barkhurst McGaughey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Duilio "Dan" Grossi on August 11, 2009, brothers Gordon, Samuel and Thomas McGaughey and sisters Grace McKitrick, Betty Glessner, Kate Schroyer, Joyce Doyle, Ditha Goresh and Patricia Durbin. Mrs. Grossi was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons Dan Grossi of Weirton and Rich Grossi and his wife Maria of Paris, PA; daughters Maria Robertson and her husband David of Presto, PA, Mary Ann Wells and her husband Doug, Kathleen Grossi and Dana Bailey and her husband Ken all of Weirton; grandchildren Dante and Ryann Grossi, Danielle Montelione, Patrick Robertson, Brennan and Brittany Bailey and Kayla Wells; great-grandson Ivan Taylor; great-granddaughter Adrianna Grossi, brother Paul McGaughey and his wife Kathy of Ohio and sister Joann Seey and her husband Ernest of Paris, PA. Friends will be received Sunday from 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Richard Tusky officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.

  10. Mary Ann and Family, Ray and I were out of town at my brother-in-law’s funeral when your mother passed away. I am so glad I got to talk with you and your mom at Dr. Bravo’s office that morning. We would have been at her funeral if we had been here. I couldn’t find anyone who knew your address so I couldn’t send a card. You have our sympathy and if we can help you in any way, we’re in the phone book. Dick and Junie has our address too. Your parents are together again with God.

  11. Grandma, it’s November 17, 2012. 3 years have went by and we miss you more and more each day…. I miss calling the house and hearing “HELLO” real loud cause you couldn’t hear. Or your cute little laugh when someone made you laugh. Or just being so happy when the grandchildren would come visit. I miss you asking if we wanted “oodles and noodles of oodles and noodles” for lunch when you’d baby sit us… Well, you and pap keep it going up there your anniversary was November 10th just like mine… Miss and love you…. RIP<3
