Dominic D. “Foggy” Foglietti, 80 of Weirton died Sunday October 7 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born on May 18, 1921 in Mingo Junction, OH, the son of the late Dante and Susan Foglietti. He was also preceded in death by one brother: Albert. Foggy was a retired owner of Talley-Ho, Stag-N-Doe, Vogue, Mid-City and Tic-Tac Clubs. He served his country in the US Army in WW II serving in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Foggy was a member of VFW Post # 2761, American Legion Post # 10, and St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Mary Vendetta Foglietti whom he married October 8, 1947, 3 sons: Dan of Charlotte, NC, Joseph of Dale City, VA and Albert of Las Vegas, NV, one daughter: Natalie Lawrence of Weirton, 2 brothers: Pete and Joseph both of Mingo Junction, OH 9 grandchildren: Jodi Hollerback, Dante Lawrence, Carl, Glen, David, Michael, Kenny Jonathan, and Sarah Foglietti, and 1 great-granddaughter, Maci Hollerback. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard, the VFW 2716 Firing Squad and the Tri State Marine Corp. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
