Donald E. Cline, 82, of Weirton, was called Home by his Lord and Savior Friday, November 07, 2008 at the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. He was born March 6, 1926 on the Old Carson's Oil Field (Ross Road) in New Cumberland, WV. When he was a month old, his parents, the late Ray and Laura Belle Cameron Cline, moved to the old homestead on Hardin's Run Road. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth R. Ball Cline on March 20, 2003, whom he married July 8, 1946, sons Lester Earl Cline in November 2000 and Ronald Dale Cline in September 2008, step-mother Eva Dunlevy Barton Cline, sisters Dora Belle Strum, Marie Delposen and baby Agnes Jane Cline, brothers Ray, Harry (Jim) and Dave Cline, half-brother Ronald Gale Cline and step-brother Wilbur Barton. With 40 years of service, Mr. Cline retired from the Strip Steel Pickler Department of Weirton Steel. He served his country in the United States Navy Amphibious Corp. during World War II and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton. Mr. Cline is survived by his daughters Jacqueline (Joseph) Zaslocke and Joyceline (Ben) Sciulli; son Perry Ray Cline; daughter-in-law Debbie Cline; grandchildren Randy (Linda) Zaslocke, Joy Lynn (Zaslocke) Mullins, Eli and Cody Sciulli, Jessica, Taylor and Jillian Cline; great grandsons Garrett and Brandon Mullins; brother John Delbert Cline; half-sisters Nancy (Larry) DeRosa and Betty Lou (Gene) Litton and step-brother Danny Paul Barton Friends will be received Sunday from 6-8 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Monday from 10AM until the 11AM funeral services at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Jaclin Ryan Bussey will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Firing Squad and Weirton Honor Guard.
