Donald “Donnie” Neal Fabian, 53, of Steubenville, OH passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born June 11, 1953 in Steubenville, OH, Donnie spent the last 28 years of his life being the most amazing father that a daughter could dream of. Six months ago, after 33 years of service, he retired from Weirton Steel where he was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year-Club. Surviving are his daughter, Kerri Lynn Fabian and her fiancé J. C. Wood and Kerri’s mother Terri Fabian; his parents Joseph and Pauline “Polly” Sharp Fabian; sister Cynthia Thompson and brother-in-law Jon Thompson; nephews Jon Michael and Jason, his brother Joe Fabian; his three beloved cats and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday November 18, 2006 at the Mercy Baptist Church, 3474 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, where fellowship with the family will follow the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made in Donnie’s memory to the Mercy Baptist Church.   6. Donnie and I started school together at Cove School. He was always happy, kind, and sincere since the day that I met him. We both wanted to work in WSX, which we did and even got to work together. Through all the years, he just wanted to be with family and friends; and he had more friends than he realized he had. He was very well thought of and looked up to. He will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man! The love he had for his daughter, Kerry, was apparent. He was always talking about her and what she was doing. My condolences to you, Kerry, and family. Donnie Fabian, I will miss you and a lot of others will miss you too!   17. We had quite a few good times both in the mill and out. It was a shock to hear of your passing. You will be missed terribly by all that knew you. Terri and Kerri, you just need to know that Donnie is now with Jesus our Lord and Saviour. He will never be forgotten and will always be with us in our thoughts and memories.
