Dorothy Jean Roth

Dorothy Jean Roth, 89, of Weirton, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV. She was born May 27, 1928 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Earl Ray and Mary Hixenbaugh Lemmon. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dennis William Roth on February 16, 1999 and brothers Leslie, Buck and Robert Lemmon.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Weirton. Dorothy and her husband founded and, for over 30 years, organized the Monday evening Ministry at Freedom Place I and II. For 21 of those years, their son, Reggi, presided over the Ministry.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Reginald (Shirley) Roth and Jeffrey (Lori) Roth all of Weirton; daughter Melodie (Duke) Provenzano of New Cumberland; sister Mary Jo (Richard) Sorter of Florida; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
Visitation will be held Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Gary Eller will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
