Dorothy L. Edwards

Dorothy L. Edwards, 88, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in the Life Line Hospital, Wintersville, OH. Born April 17, 1926 in Smithfield, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Ruby Kennison Lowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dorwin Edwards in 1987, brothers Robert, Ken, Bill, Warren and H. J. Lowe and sister Elsie Lowe.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker, a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton and the Rebekah's. For over 50 years, Dorothy bowled on various leagues in the valley.
She is survived by her daughter Marcia Hemsley of Weirton; grandson Budd Hemsley of Steubenville, OH. brother Dale (Roni) Lowe and sister Norma Lowe all of Smithfield, PA.
Visitation will be held Thursday 5-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 2pm Friday. Reverend Dana Snodgrass will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

Marcia and Bud: I am so very sorry for your loss. I, personally, thought so much of your mom: What a woman! Like we said Marcia: she\’s with your dad now & yes, is at peace. You were truly blessed with great parents. May they now rest in peace together.
I really am at a loss for words. Mama was wonderful, treated me and my son as family and not just friends. We will ways remember and love her! And always be there for the both of you NO MATTER what!
