Dorothy M. Raveaux, 84, of Weirton passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville. Born September 15, 1928 in Massillon, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Dale James and Marie E. Forbes Robb. She was also preceded in death by her husband George G. Raveaux, son-in-law Gary Shultz, a brother Forbes Robb and two sisters Ruth Baker and Clara Strong. With 19 years of service, Mrs. Raveaux retired from the City of Weirton where she worked as a secretary and was a member of the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church. She was a wonderful, loving mother, good hearted and giving, a lover of nature, flower gardening and was a great Steelers and WVU fan. Mrs. Raveaux is survived by a son Bradley Raveaux (Judy) of New Cumberland; three daughters Cathie Shultz of Bergholz, OH, Cindee Salopek of Weirton and Trudy Scarr (Stuart) of Skaneateles, NY; eight grandchildren April Harbert, Mark Konchar, Shauna Musulin, David and Jeff Raveaux, Rachael and Tanner Scarr and Michael Shultz; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters Martha Bennett of Clayton, NC and Ella Mae Freshour of Greenville, OH. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-6 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St. Weirton. Funeral services will held on Friday at 11 am at the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, 121 Ivy Street, Weirton where additional visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions can be made to her church or to the Community Bread Basket, P.O. Box 154 Weirton, WV 26062 in her memory.

When I delivered her Avon, she would talk about her visits with your dad (at that time) and when she 1st had her back problems I would spend some time also, just bsing… A lovely, lovely lady who will be missed..
