Duane Dean Whear

Duane Dean Whear, 50, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his home. He was born September 20, 1965 in Weirton, a son of the late Alfred Whear. He was also preceded in death by his brother John Whear and sister Cheryl Tice.
For 11 years, Duane worked in the maintenance department for Homer Laughlin China Company. He was a member of the Weirton Salvation Army, the Men's Club and the Sunday School Class. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, taking walks in the woods and camping with his family.
Duane is survived by his wife Melissa Edgell Whear whom he married June 25, 2013; step daughters Ayisha and Alexyiah Edgell and Isabella and Shania Lanham and brother Dale Whear of Wellsburg, WV.
Friends will be received from 10:30 until the 11:00 AM memorial service Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Salvation Army Chapel. Major Ed Long will officiate.

So saddened to hear of Duane’s passing. Attended junior and senior high school with him and boy we did a lot of goofing off and laughing back then! Things were so much simpler then. I hope for peace and comfort for his family.
