edna harrison
Edna Rose Josai Harrison of Weirton passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021, under the Weirton Geriatric Center's compassionate care. She was 95 years old. She was born June 6, 1925, in Mingo Junction, Ohio. Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, John Josai, her second husband, Joseph Harrison, daughters Shirley Semich and Rebecca “Becky” Shields, and brothers Steve, Dave, and Joe Malesick. Edna worked for many years of her life as a retail cashier at Sagan’s Hallmark and Super X Convenient store. She was a past president of the 3-Score Club and maintained membership in the Weirton Elks. Everyone knew her as a great cook, especially her family. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory is her son, John (Sandie) Josai of Bloomingdale, OH, and grandchildren Bryan (Melissa) Josai, Emily, and Holly Semich great-grandchildren Kyle, Derek, and Chrystal Josai, and Son-in-Law Bob Semich Friends will be received Monday, February 22, 2021, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, from 4-7 pm, where funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday. The Rev Dr. Christina Hosler will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
