Edward J. Malinowski

Edward J. Malinowski, 78 of Weirton died Friday, May 11, 2001 at his residence. He was born on April 27, 1923 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Alexander and Blanche Kuzmicka Malinowski. An infant son also preceded Ed in death. His wife Anne Barach Malinowski died on February 5, 1991. His two brothers Stanley and Joseph and a sister Irene Ashcraft also preceded him in death. Ed retired after 30 years of service with Weirton Steel. He was a Plater operator in the tin mill. He also served on the City of Weirton Council representing the residents of the fourth ward for eight years. Ed served his country as a United States Marine and was a decorated Hero in World War II. He was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, VFW 2716, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club and a Life Member of the Moose Lodge 688. He is survived by a son Paul and his wife Donna Malinowski; a daughter Nancy and her husband David Turkaly; two sisters Regina Domolewicz and Wanda Pirraglia; two grandchildren Paul Anthony and Kristin Nicole Malinowski all of Weirton Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton where a funeral will be 10 AM Tuesday.
