Elizabeth Kanai, 93, of Weirton, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Homestead Personal Care Home in Weirton.
She was born on December 6, 1913 in Gastonville, PA, the daughter of the late Steve and Susan Olah Fodor.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Kanai; her daughter, Betty Riffee; her five brothers, Charles, William, John, Joe, and Steve Fodor and her sister Ann Sematore.
Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Weirton.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Waltz of Weirton, WV; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a special nephew Ross Sematore of Boston, MA; and her caregivers at the Homestead, Jennifer, Linda and Gina.
Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held 11AM on Wednesday with Pastor James Rhodes officiating.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

Mrs Kanai was one fantastic lady.I met her thru Evangel Baptist Church,she always had a smile and a very caring nature. She will be sadly missed.
