Elizabeth Oleska

Elizabeth Oleska, 92, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Born June 15, 1918 in Aliquippa, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna Juba Oleska. She was also preceded in death by her brother John Oleska and sisters Anna Tobias, Mary Klash, Bertha Tompos and Helen Drelick.
For 24 years, Elizabeth worked in the Ready-To-Wear Department for Stone & Thomas. She also worked for Fisher's Department Store.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Miss Oleska is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
I am truely sorry for your loss.I live at Freedom Place 2 Apts.and came to know Elizabeth well.She will be sadly missed by all of us who knew and loved her.She was always willing to open a door,or just sit and chat with you where ever she saw you at.My condolences are with you all!God Bless!!

Elizabeth’s family, I was so sorry to hear about your loss. We sent Christmas cards to Elizabeth each year following our mom Eileen’s passing away in 2001-keeping up with all her friends. Elizabeth had written me a couple times following the cards some very nice letters and I hoped to get to Weirton to see her next year. She was our mom’s maid of honor in her wedding to our dad and they remained friends all those years afterwards.
