Elva Marie Lloyd Osaba, 64, of Weirton, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. Born on April 26, 1948 in Steubenville, OH, Elva was a daughter of the late Edward Vernon and Helen Louise Hill Lloyd. Elva was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and church parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. She worked for her brother Ed in his print shop, Ed's Quick Print Shop, and retired as manager after 20 years of service. In her free time, Elva enjoyed cheering on her two favorite football teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Madonna Blue Dons. Elva is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Osaba; two sons, Dave (Darla) Osaba and Marc Osaba, all of Weirton; daughter Erin (Jason) Short of Chonburi, Thailand; three brothers, Jim (Margie) Cunningham, Chuck Cunningham, and Ed (Louise) Lloyd, all of Steubenville, OH; three sisters, Mary Jean (Ken) Aspenleiter of Weirton, Mary Lou (Bernard) Zascavage and Joyce Bell, both of Steubenville, OH; three grandsons, Marc Osaba and Camden and Cooper Short; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to join in a celebration of Elva's life at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church where a Funeral Liturgy with Mass has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 12 PM Noon. The Reverend Father Larry Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions in Elva's memory may be made to the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062. I looked up to Elva, as she was always so sweet and kind to me. I still have a Christmas charm that she bought me back then engraved with her name on it that I wear at Christmas time each year.   31. I remember how much fun we had at sporting events when all our children attended Madonna High School and again much later when Elva was so helpful when we were planning our daughter’s wedding.
