Florence Costantino

Florence R. Costantino, 83, of Weirton, WV, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 in Weirton Medical Center. Born November 16, 1935, she was preceded in death by her parents Vito and Sue (Battiste) Costantino and her brother in law Tom Borich.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She graduated from Weirton High School and then worked at Weirton Steel general offices.
Florence loved to read and write poetry having many poems published. She played piano and her bible was well worn thru from reading and worship.
She is survived by her sister Loretta (Lollie) Borich of Belpre, Ohio; nephews Tom and Christen Borich of O’Fallon, MO and Mark and Cathy Borich of Beverly, OH; niece Susan and Bruno Agostinelli of Beaver Falls, PA; seven great nieces and nephews and cousins of the Battiste and Costantino family of Windber, PA.
Friends will be received on Thursday December 20 from 9AM to 11AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut St. Weirton, WV followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Reverend Father Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will officiate.
Private interment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Windber, PA alongside her parents.

I have very fond memories of Florence, my “comare”. I remember her beautiful poetry and the way she played the piano at Christmas while we sang carols. She was so sweet to my mom, and I know my mom thought of her and Lolli as nieces. I will never forget her encouraging conversations with me when my parents were very ill! So sorry to hear of Flo’s passing. I lived in the same apt building as Flo in the ‘90’s. She was a great person and kept a watchful eye on the young ones in the building.
