Florence F. Fazi Orsini, 93, of Weirton passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born on April 26, 1921 in Steubenville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Vendetti Panacci. She was also preceded in death by her first husband John J. Fazi in 1965, her second husband Lawrence Orsini in 1978, four brothers Henry, Frank and Emilio Paravano and James Panacci; three sisters Jennie Castelucci, Elvira Paravano, Alma Ravasio and son-in-law Gerald Pearson. Mrs. Orsini retired after 15 years from the Maintenance Department of Weirton Steel Corporation a division of the former National Steel. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter's of America, St. Paul Christian Mothers and enjoyed crocheting and baking cookies. She is survived by a son John J. Fazi (Linda) of Follansbee, WV; a daughter Christine M. Pearson of Weirton, WV and step-daughter Joyce Bray (Robert) of Follansbee, WV; a brother Joseph Panacci (Frances) of California; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7:30PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut St. Weirton. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions can be made to Piece by Peace, Inc. (Autism and Aspergers Support) 2850 Weir Ave. Weirton, WV 26062.
