Floyd Eugene Hutchison
August 14, 1938 ~ February 10, 2005
Floyd Eugene “Hutch” Hutchison, 66, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 14, 1938 in Wileyville, WV, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Thomas) Hutchison. Floyd was also preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Dewayne on February 9, 1961; brothers Ervan, Arles and George Hutchison, Jr. and sisters Nelda and Berneda Greathouse.
He was employed by Weirton Steel for 35-1/2 years and retired as an Engineer in the Railroad Transportation Department. He attended the United Methodist Church in Weirton and was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club, The Evert Maki American Legion Post 10 and the T. Kosciuszko Hall. He also served in the US Army.
Floyd’s survivors include his wife Margaret “Peggy” (Corle) Hutchison whom he married November 30, 1956; daughters Patty Jenkins and her husband Ralph and Sherry Chapman and her husband Ben all of Weirton; sisters Elda Baker of Moundsville, WV, Elouise Yeater of Weirton and Loretta Teagarden of Wileyville, WV; 2 grandsons, Ian and Shawn Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 1-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM on Monday. Interment will be at Paris Cemetery in Paris, PA with Military Services being conducted by the VFW Firing Squad and The Evert Maki American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard.
