Francis A. "Frank" Majoris

Francis “Frank” Anthony Majoris of Weirton passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was 95. Frank was born in Barnesboro, PA on January 7, 1926, one of nine children born to Michael and Catherine Keblesh Majoris. After graduating high school in Windber, PA, Frank joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a staff sergeant. After the service, he moved to Weirton, WV. In 1953 he married Pauline “Minnie” Orecchio. In their 58 years of marriage, they were blessed with four children, twelve grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Sadly, Pauline passed away on May 28, 2011. When Frank moved to Weirton, he was employed as a truck driver for Starvaggi Industries. He later accepted a job as a Mill-Cop for Weirton Steel, working plant protection for over 35 years. In his free time, he enjoyed repairing Lawn-Boy lawnmowers in his garage. He also loved playing cards with his friends at the local Greek Coffee House, and visiting his son’s farm, and attending Catholic Mass. Frank was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, VFW 2716, American Legion Post 10, Polish National Alliance, and the First Catholic Slovak Union. In addition to his parents and his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his son, Richard Francis Majoris on September 16, 2010; his brothers, John, Joseph, Michael, Andy, Edward, and little Johnny; and his sister, Mary Klimek. He will be remembered with love by his daughter, Kathy (Allen) Casto; sons, Michael (Cathy) Majoris, and Anthony Majoris; a loving sister, Irene Delasko; a sister in law, Mary Majoris; eleven grandchildren, Skyler (Logan) North, Tyler (Brooke) North , Montana Casto, Wyatt, Mallory, Ciarra and Autumn; Monica, Michael and Lyndsey , and Alexis; numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 Rev. Tony Thurston will preside. Military services will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard following the Mass.
