Frank ''Stokes'' Stokosky

Frank ''Stokes'' Stokosky 90, of Weirton, died Sunday, January 6, 2002 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born August 8, 1911 in Youngstown, OH. His parents, Boleslaw and Mariana Stokosky, his first wife, Mary Gulasi Stokosky, and his second wife Dorothy L. Martin Stokosky preceded Frank in death. Two brothers, Joseph and Stanley Stokosky also preceded him. Frank was a US Army WWII veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Lions Club, the Moose, the Elks all of Weirton. Frank retired from The Weirton Steel Company, where he worked for 38 years. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-year club. One daughter Sheryl Ferguson, two grandsons, Justin and Brett Ferguson, all of Pinckney, Michigan, survive him. A brother, Charles Stokosky of Hubbard, OH also survives. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St. Weirton, WV where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM. Funeral liturgy with mass will be held Thursday, 11:00AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Weirton. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton, WV.
