Franklin Delano Houghton, 75 of Weirton, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Weirton Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1940, in Charleston, WV, he was a son of the late Minter Jackson Houghton, Sr. and Olive Mable (Archer) Houghton. He was also preceded in death by his son John Houghton and sister Gracie Faye Houghton.
Frank currently worked as a watchman at Stravaggi Industries and was a retired coal miner. He was a member of Starvaggi's 25 year club and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Frank Houghton, Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, WV; daughter Dianna (David) Strader of Eldersville, PA; daughter-in-law Renna Houghton of Columbus, OH; brother Minter Jackson Houghton, Jr. of Louisiana; and grandchildren Amanda (Dustin Fisher) Strader, Brandon Strader and Kevin Houghton.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Pastors Brian Richardson and Larry Barkley will officiate.
Interment will follow at Cross Creek Tent Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
