Garold Floyd Fox, 75, of Weirton, died Monday, December 22, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born on February 23, 1928 in Big Springs, WV, a son of the late Elias Floyd Fox and Dortha Wilson Fox. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Inez Yoak. Garold retired with 38 years of service from Weirton Steel where he was a welder in the Steel Works Welding Shop. He was Baptist by faith, a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, and served his country in the Navy during WWII. Garold loved fishing, hunting, and Nascar racing. He is survived by his wife, Minnie (Rine) Fox of Weirton, whom he married on August 18, 1950; one daughter, Deborah Norman and her husband David of New Manchester, WV; two sisters, Elmadeen Robinson of New Manchester, and Irene Bartlett and her husband Ray of Big Springs, WV; and two granddaughters, Ashley Elizabeth Norman of Oakland Park, FL and Hillary Allese Norman of New Manchester. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday. Pastor James Rhodes and Pastor Marvin Hawley will preside. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. In lieu of flowers, Garold’s family requests that donations be made to Mercy Baptist Church Building Fund, 3474 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
