Genevieve G. Showalter

Genevieve G. Showalter, 91, of Follansbee, formerly of Weirton, died Monday, July 14, 2003 at the Brightwood Nursing Home. She was born July 18, 1911, in Ritchie County, WV, the daughter of the late Samuel and Hattie Rodgers Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Carl L. Lemley; son Robert Wayne Lemley; daughter Ora Lee Lemley; brothers Ralph, Benjamin and James Cunningham; sisters Ora Cunningham, Lena Wilson, Augusta Pyles and Annabelle Smith. Genevieve was a retired homemaker and was Protestant by faith. Genevieve is survived by her husband Woodrow W. Showalter; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (JoAnn) Rose and Mrs. Walter (Hattie) Logue all of Weirton; six grandchildren, Carl Rose, Joe Bello, Paula Wright, Diane Kostecki, Dawn McMillan, Donna Kough; five step-grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Friends will be received 2-4PM and 7-9 PM, Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 AM with Reverend Marvin Taylor presiding.
