Gladys McCanna

Gladys McCanna, 92, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born November 20, 1915 in Shinnston, WV, she was one of thirteen children of the late Ellwood and Blanche Swain Phillips. Gladys was also preceded in death by her husband Vern McCanna. Gladys was a homemaker with a deep love of shopping, the change of seasons, sunsets, playing cards with friends, animals and sitting to dinner with family and friends. Gladys is survived by her son Benjamin McCanna of Buffalo, NY; daughters LaVaune Bremiller of Wellsburg and Ethel Tabor of West Seneca, NY. A Memorial Service is planned for 2PM Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 3176 Weir Avenue, Weirton, WV.
