Grace Wade
May 20, 1910 ~ July 23, 2006
After an extended illness, Grace Wade, 96 of Weirton, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the Valley Hospice Palliative Care Unit in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born May 20, 1910 in Littleton, WV, the daughter of the late James and Sadie (Little) Freeland. She was also preceded in death by her husband Melvin.
Grace was a home health caregiver and a long-standing member of the Tri-State Church of God.
She is survived by her son Ron of Weirton. She helped raise many children besides her own child. Those children included Connie Miller of New Martinsville and Steve Dakin of Hundred, WV, who, among many others, thought of her as “MOM” and “MAMMAW”.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral services will be celebrated 12:30PM Thursday at the Tri-State Church of God with Pastor Robert Tate officiating. Interment will be in Anderson Bethel Cemetery, Littleton, West Virginia.
The family extends grateful appreciation to Dr. K. K. Aggarwal & staff, the Hospice family and her personal caregivers.

Ronnie, Thank you for allowing me to care for your mother. She was such a blessing and a inspiration to me. I would like to have just a fraction of the faith that she had. When ever I talked to about her to friends I alway mentioned the way she prayed and believed in God. You have the patient of Jobe. I have never met a nicer and soft hearted man in my life. You gave your mother the best care I have ever seen a son give. You went above and beyond what any son would do. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. Ronnie ~ I was sorry to hear of Grace’s passing. She was a true angel on Earth and is now home. I have many childhood memories which include your Mom. She always had the best smile and laughter.
