Gust J. Mousadis, 85, of Weirton, died Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born March 25, 1919 in Weirton, he was the son of the late Dimitrious and Maria Venetis Mousadis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Porta Mousadis; brother John Mousadis and sister Virginia Parakakis. After 40 years of service, Gust retired from National Steel where he worked in the Tin Mill Department. He was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, the Chios Society, Homer Chapter #4, VFW Post 2716, Weirton Steel 25-Year Club and the Senior Citizens of the Greek Orthodox Church. Gust served in the US Army during World War II. Gust’s survivors include his wife Markella Tsouparote Mousadis of Weirton; son Mike Mousadis and his wife Susie also of Weirton; daughter Mary Anne Gieseler and her husband Geoff of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandchildren Nicholas and Steven Gieseler and Matthew, Michael and Kristi Mousadis. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be Thursday from 10AM until the 11AM funeral service at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church with Father Terry Linos presiding. Interment will be at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Paris, PA where military services will be conducted by the Weirton V.F.W. Post 2716 Firing Squad, the Evert Maki American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
