Gwendolyn S. James Larson, born June 15, 1941, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 after a short illness. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vivian Petitto and JR Warren James; daughter, Jessica Hamrick; sisters Barbara Arbaugh Hall, Sandy James Sohar and brother Gary James. She was a graduate of Weir High School Class of 1960. Gwen leaves behind her daughter, Annette Briggs; granddaughter, Shanna Briggs; grandson, David Briggs (Rachel); great grandsons, Collin W. Briggs and Adam Eagle; great granddaughter, Bella M. Eagle; sisters, Nancy Arbaugh Robinson, JoAnn Petitto Gregorich (Roy), Pam James Hensley and Becky James; brothers Ronnie and Johnny James; aunt Katie James and uncle Roy Maxwell. A memorial mass will be held 6:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2017, at Saint Paul Church. Reverend Father Larry W. Dorsch will officiate. Reception to follow at Roy and JoAnn Gregorich residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to St. Paul Church in Weirton.
