harold cronin, jr.
Harold A. Cronin, Jr., 73 of Weirton died November 5, 2004 at Trinity Center West, Steubenville, OH. He was born February 4, 1931, in East Liverpool, OH, a son of the late Harold A. Cronin Sr. and Lottie (Applegate) Cronin. He was also preceded in death by his stepson, Charles Ameredes; two brothers Stanley Russell, and Edward Cronin; and three sisters, Marie Cronin, Louise Virden, and Catherine Atkinson. Harold retired from Weirton Steel. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Harold is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Katramados) Ameredes Cronin of Weirton; one brother Hunter Liggett Cronin of South Carolina; one sister, Florence Ann Mehaney of Newell, WV and his children Bill Cronin, Sheila Blessing, Barbara Cheuvront, Diane Wagner, Russ Ireland, and Lisa Grimes. Visitation will be Monday, 6 – 9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, where services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday. Rev. Fr. Terry Linos and Pastor James Foglio will preside. Burial will be in the Greek Section of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside service conducted by the VFW Firing Squad, and the Evert Maki American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard.
