Harry Bushman, 85, of Weirton, passed away December 30, 2010 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born April 15, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Max and Sylvia Weiner Bushman. His brother David Bushman also preceded him in death. With 23 years of service, Harry retired from Home Furniture Store in Weirton. He also worked for 13 years as a manager in the carpet department of the Top Value Furniture store in Steubenville, OH. Harry served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Temple Beth Israel in Steubenville and B'nai B'rith International. He was former member of the Elks #1801. Mr. Bushman is survived by three sons, Craig of Palm City, FL, Michael of Longwood, FL and Daniel of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Marsha Murman of Venetia, PA and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held immediately following at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Rabbi Beth Jacowitz-Chottiner will officiate. Interment will be at Beth Abraham Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth Israel, 300 Lovers Lane, Wintersville, OH 43953; Millsop Community Center, 4320 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 or Mary H. Weir Public Library, 3442 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

  5. So sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. Harry has been a friend of mine, and of the Millsop Community Center, for many years. I’ve enjoyed countless coversations with him and his love for the Community Center was obvious, especially when he was whipping me at racquetball at the age of 75. He will be greatly missed by the entire Millsop Communty Center family. We’ll be praying for his family during this difficult time.
