Hazel Shultz, 86, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in the Laurels of Steubenville. Born December 10, 1924 in Parkersburg, WV, Hazel lived with her family in St. Mary�s, WV, a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Cross Vaughn. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Shultz, Sr. on April 22, 1994, grandson Michael Walker on June 27, 1997, four brothers and a sister. Hazel was a homemaker and a very active member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church in Weirton, where she was also a member of the Iris Class. Hazel and her husband, also from St. Mary�s, moved to Weirton where they enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida after his retirement from Weirton Steel. Mrs. Shultz is survived by her son Raymond H. Shultz, Jr. and his wife Kathy; daughters Karen McIntyre and Joyce Perkins and her husband John all of Weirton; four grandchildren Phillip and Jeffrey McIntyre, Diane Walker and Nicole Shultz; three step-grandchildren Michael and John Perkins and Donna Peters; 4 great-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and 1 step great-great granddaughter. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 until the 11am funeral service at the Oakland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Isobell Bell will officiate. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland Presbyterian Church, 701 Swearingen Road, Weirton, WV 26062.
