helen greenlief
Helen Georgia Greenlief, 91, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the D & D Quality Care in Weirton. Born November 21, 1915 in Troy, WV, she was the daughter of the late John William and Evelyn Frymeir Knisley. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband S. E. Greenlief in 1988, son S. Edwin Greenlief in 2006, daughter Bonnie M. Dodson in 1990, brother William Knisley and sisters Mary Flowers, Marie Lambert and Alice Rowe. Helen worked for 25 years for the G. C. Murphy Company and retired with 10 years of service from K-Mart. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton. Helen is survived by her sons Hayden D. Greenlief and his wife Winona and Donald Greenlief all of Weirton; daughter Catherine Greenlief of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law Ruth Greenlief of Colliers, WV; grandchildren Linda Millbauer, Sandy Fabian, Donald Greenlief, Hayden M., David and Shawn Greenlief, Rachel Salkovick, Keith Greenlief, Deanna Miller and Rob Dodson; and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday 4-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 2PM Sunday. Reverend Chuck Jerman will officiate.
