Helen Jean High

Helen Jean High, 95, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born July 11, 1921 in Newark, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ed T. and Pleasant Ross Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband Curtis H. High, sons Gregory and William High, her brothers and sisters.
Helen has worked as a secretary with Ohio Power in Newark, OH, Weirton Steel and the Red Cross. But, for most of her life, Helen was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton.
Helen is survived by her grandchildren Jeff (Meredith) High and Amy (Bart) Musitano; daughter in law Elaine High Kimmins and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3432 West Street, Weirton. The Reverend Michael Heckathorn will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
