Helen K. Kono, 80, of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Weirton, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013. Born July 9, 1932 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Theodora Voucoutou Ameredes. She was also preceded in death by her son Stephen R. Kono, brothers Harry, Gus and Harito Ameredes and sister Mary Ameredes.
Helen is survived by her brother Vasso Ameredes of Columbus, OH; a niece and nephews. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Ann Ameredes and nephew Ted Ameredes both of Weirton.
Funeral Services will be celebrated 10am Thursday at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church with Reverend Father Frank Milanese officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Weirton.

I just learned of Helen’s passing was was sorry to hear. I worked with her at Goodwin, Proctor in Boston many years ago. We lost track of each other when she moved to Florida. I thought of her often and wish we had kept in touch. My sincere condolences on the loss of a very kind and loving person.
