Helen M. Bright, 93, of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016, at Weirton Medical Center.
Born May 2, 1923, in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late John and Agnes Kromalic. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Bright, Sr.; brothers, Joseph and John Kromalic; and sisters, Olga Ballick and Katherine Kromalic.
Helen was a registered nurse at Weirton General Hospital and retired from Weirton Medical Center. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church and the Weirton Medical Center retirees club
She is survived by her son John (Sharon) Bright, Jr.; daughters Marianne (Jim) Mawhinney and Janice (Scott) Hicks, all of Weirton; grandchildren J.K. (Pam) Mawhinney, Sarah (Chris) Foti, Darrin (Jennifer) Hicks, Mandy (Ed) Karns and Tiffany Bright; great grandchildren Libby Mawhinney, Lauren Foti, Abby Mawhinney, Matthew Foti and Jude Ella Hicks.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 3-8 PM at Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Reverend Father Dennis Schuelkens, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

So sorry to learn of the passing of your Mother. Your Mom and my Mom, Greta, were great buddies at the old Weirton General Hospital. I also remember the night when I was young—your Mom gave me a big shot of Pennicillen in the ER!
May God grant you comfort and peace during this holiday season. Know that you will be reunited again one day.
