Ida Mae Sands

Ida Mae Sands, 102, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born April 6, 1909 to the late Anthony and Helen Grygo. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harold Thomas Sands.
A retired beautician, Mrs. Sands had been a resident at the Weirton Geriatric Center since 2004. She will be deeply missed by the staff and caregivers at the center.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 3 until the 5PM funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
Ida Mae you provided me many good memories as a child and later as a student at OSU. You and Ginger were 2 of my grandmother’s favorite nieces. RIP
